world's still spinning

"Trees, fallen leaves, an arguing
train. The afternoon a chickadee perched
and sang notes I'd never heard before
claiming the centre of my palm -
the world spins out from here"

I watched Pane e tulipani (Bread and Tulips) last night. I just love this woman—she sticks it to the man, with a steadied grace and warmth. The kind of lady I think a lot of us want to grow up to become, when we find that life has unbecome us.
(And! A chance to re-explore Venice, without getting lost!)
